ABRAMS FOUGHT FOR SEX OFFENDERS, NOT GEORGIA FAMILIES – AGAIN
(Athens, GA) - In the State Senate, businessman Brian Kemp served as the Chairman of Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, and led on courthouse security reform. As Secretary of State, he worked with law enforcement to crack down on unlicensed massage parlors in metro Atlanta. Kemp is a husband and father with comprehensive plans to dismantle street gangs, end sex trafficking, and tackle the opioid epidemic. As governor, Brian Kemp will keep our families safe.
Radical Stacey Abrams is soft on crime and has a long track record to prove it.
On Monday, Abrams refused to answer why she voted against HB908, which banned sex offenders from lingering in certain places where innocent children learn and play.
Later in the same Legislative Session, Abrams voted against Senate Bill 1, a piece of legislation that made it illegal for sex offenders and predators to take photographs of children. Abrams again sided with sex offenders over children.
“Stacey Abrams skipped two votes to end sex trafficking and refuses to offer any explanation. Now, voters want to know why she rejected legislation to protect innocent children from sex offenders.
“Abrams can try to explain away her shady tax scandal and hide her radical agenda to raise taxes on hardworking Georgians, but she can't run from her own record of fighting for sex offenders and undermining public safety. Clearly, Stacey Abrams is too extreme for Georgia,” said Cody Hall, Press Secretary.
