Kemp Congratulates Governor Deal, GDEcD on #1 Ranking and Bringing Jobs to Middle Georgia
In light of Georgia earning the title of #1 State for Business for the fifth year in row and today's announcement that e-commerce giant, Amazon, is opening a distribution hub in middle Georgia, conservative businessman and Secretary of State Brian Kemp issued the following statement:
"Being the best state for business doesn't just happen," said Kemp. "Thanks to the tireless efforts of Governor Deal, Pat Wilson, and the entire team at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the private sector continues to grow, invest, and choose Georgia.
"Today's announcement that Amazon is bringing five hundred jobs to Macon is a huge win for middle Georgia and underscores the regional assets that exist in every part of our state. By working collaboratively, we can ensure that all communities experience the excitement - and opportunities - created by a big economic development project."
